Developing your own website requires a lot of things. The first thing that you will need is capital as the old saying goes to make money you have to spend it too. However the internet offers ways that could help your business in getting traffic.

There is plenty of ways that you could jump start your traffic flow to your website, but not many website owners have the recourses to spend on Advertising that would generate more traffic.

I have good news, you don’t have to spend anything, but you must have a lot of eagerness and the proper mindset and the necessary drive and hard work to generate traffic to your site.

Isn’t it great to have loads of traffic coming to your site without you spending a dime. Many sites have articles and tips and tricks and the guidelines on how to do all of this using only free methods.

The methods I am about to share with you will give you a fighting chance of getting exposure to your site, sure you will get better exposure with paid advertising but not everyone has that sort of money, so here are a few things that you can do to give yourself a chance on getting some traffic for free.

Take A Look At Online Forums And Online Communities

The best thing I like about forums is that you can target certain areas of interest for instance if you are running a flower business online you can find forums that only deal with flowers, this is targeting a certain group of people.

You can discuss your business with them and let them know what sort of flowers you are selling; this will generate more business for you in the long run.

Create Your Own Newsletter

Here is another way that you can generate more interest for your business, start your own newsletter and make it informative people will want to stay on your list if the content is very interesting for them. Give them a catalog of your products and get people that come to your website sign up for your newsletter.

Exchange Links With Other Websites

You don’t need any spending money for this one, all you have to do is come to an agreement with other webmasters to exchange links with them, exchange links that are relevant to your product for instance if your selling flowers, you will need to exchange links with someone that is selling vases, flowers ect. You get the chance of getting more traffic to your site this way and the more sites that you exchange links with the more traffic you’re going to get.

Write Articles That Are Going To Get Attention

Write articles that are going to be interesting for the person that is reading them. That way there is a good chance that they will follow the links contained within the article body also they will probably click on the link in your signature at the bottom of the article too. So this is a good strategy for you to follow.

How To Use Google Adwords to Get More Traffic

Everyone that is running a business online has one thing in common and that is they would like to generate as much Website Traffic to their own website as possible.

The whole idea of having a website is for it to be viewed on a regular basis by a lot of people each day. You can have the best looking website on the net but if you are not getting to the traffic to it then you’re wasting your time.

When you start getting traffic to your website this means more sales and more customers for your business which in turn means profit for you. Many website have failed online due to not enough website traffic, but some small business websites have made money because these people have stuck to a certain niche and some sub niches.

You Have To Spend Money To Receive Money!

There is an old saying when you give you will receive. That is also true with business online; if you don’t put anything into it you won’t get anything back from it.

Spending money on your business is no different. Advertising is one good way of spending some money on your business, with the right sort of advertising you can generate a lot of people to your site.

If you have a killer product on your site this will attract people back to it time and time again. Initially you will have to spend money to make money online this is true with any business out there.

My weekly budget for my business goes on Advertising the only place I will go right now is Google Adwords why? Because it’s so popular and it gives me the traffic I need to run my business, no other ad agency can do that for me on a consistant basis.

Every time a person does a search on the web they use phases if you have the right keywords in your advertisements then you will get good traffic with your chosen keywords. This is important when using Google Adwords.

There are other ways to advertise but there not as effective as Google Adwords, you may choose the free Advertising options. Forums are a good way of getting the word out about your business especially if you’re on a tight budget. Which ever way you choose you will need traffic to your website if you want your business to succeed in the long run.

There is a lot of ways to write blogs that get noticed on the Internet. I think one of the best ways to properly write a blog is to make it keyword sensitive.

Search for keywords that are getting lots of hits each day don’t go to high say around 800,000 hits a day and try and compete with the top sites for a certain keyword.

Do a search on Google for the keyword that you choose and have a look at the number of hits each day that keyword gets.

You will need to do a keyword search maybe on the Google keyword site to see how many keywords that you can get to use on your blog.

Content is the king in blogs, once you establish fresh content for your blog and preferably in your own writing will establish your blog on the internet and get it into the high ranks of the search engines although this may take you some time.

Make sure that your content is interesting for the visitor to stay on your site. With good relevant content you will get a good readers base over time.

Now that you have got your content sorted out it is time to get the word out about your blog.

Social Media sites can do that job for you but you have to join a few that is related to the content that you have on the blog.

You have groups within the social sites on specific topics join some of the groups and post regular to them.

Commenting on other blogs will help you get links back to your site. If your going to do this its important that your comments are genuine comments on a blog that you really feel is good this way the other blog owner will put comments on your blog too they will want to look at your blog to see who you are and what your blog is about.

Another good way of getting back links to your site is Forums, again find forums that are on topic with your blog, and make around five posts a day to these forums and over time you will start to get back links going to your blog.

When making posts try and answer questions in stead of asking them all the time this way you will get people looking at you as an expert in your chosen field.

• Affiliates – If you’re just starting out and have very little or no capitol to run your business from home then Affiliate Marketing would suit you best. With Affiliate Marketing there is no outlay for you to begin to start earning money because all you will be doing is promoting a program that belongs to someone else. They will have the training material for you the product, and all you do is advertise the product and make commission on the sale. There is a lot of good affiliate programs you can choose from out there just checkout Google to see how many Affiliate programs there is.

• Drop shipping – A really good idea for a home based business, not much investment involved in this, but you will need to find a reliable drop shipping company to work with, this could be difficult to find at first but once you have one all you have to do then is market their products and they will ship the goods out to the customer for you.

Now remember when I was telling you about your domain name, well just go back to your hosting company and Forward your affiliate link to your domain name, this way it will be more search engine friendly, people don’t like clicking on affiliate links.

Make sure that you use masking for your affiliate link, if you don’t know all this information ask your hosting provider and they will help you.

When you mask an affiliate link when people click on your domain name your affiliate link will be hidden and just your domain name will be displayed.

Promote Your Domain Name

When you promote your Domain Name it will go to your affiliate page. You can join forums of interest for your product, for instance.

I might have an affiliate program for ad words program, and I want to get some back links to my affiliate page, just register with some forums that are dealing with ad words and then just make a few posts everyday and you will begin to get back links in no time.

You can also use traffic exchanges, again just check it out on Google (Traffic Exchanges) and you will come across thousands of them.

There is one excellent traffic exchange that is very good and gets you lots of traffic but you have to surf everyday it’s free to join Traffic swarm.

Again go into the forums that are talking about Traffic Exchanges and have a look at the posts for the best Traffic Exchanges.

Planning everyday is part of running a successful online business, make a plan on how much you can do each day make a schedule for what you can do and stick with it. Keeping Your Audience On Your Page

Article writing is an art and you have to learn how to do it properly. Article marketing has come a long way its one of the best free ways to get traffic to your site.

But you have to concentrate on making your article a good one, you have to get the attention of the reader and make them stay on your site, it is so important to get this right. So keeping your audience on your page is the first step in successful article writing.

Creativity

Be creative with your article writing, the more interesting it is to your audience, the better chance you will have at them reading your entire article. Practice writing articles at leas once a day, if you get writers block don’t worry we all get it just have a rest and come back to it later.

Write from your heart what is it that you want to say to your audience on a subject. There might be something important you want to add to your article that could be helpful to the reader.

Perfect ideas are great if you can think of them but there isn’t any sure way of getting those ideas, you have to get your mindset on something you are interested in and take it from there but there aren’t any special rules for thinking of ideas they just come natural. When you get an idea keep a running dairy of your thoughts so you can always go back to it, or use notepad on your computer just to got down some thoughts you may have about something this will help when you get stuck for words. When you start your article writing take your time, don’t rush it, you can write a good quality article if you just take the time to do one, although you may spend a couple of hours on your first one, you will get quicker at it as time goes on. Focus on the task in hand and stick with it till you have finished it.

Choose A Workplace

Choosing a workplace is also important to writing articles as anything else, you need to create a quiet place,you’re going to be on your own and left alone to think. Put some objects around your workplace that will make you happy and relaxed, set the mood for yourself so you can really enjoy your writing. Most of all just keep practicing set aside some time each day to do this and you will become a great writer.

Ok so you have just started your new online business and you’re looking for ideas on where to start advertising. There are my places that offer free advertising on the internet but you have to know the most effective form of free advertising. When people start their own small business they are mostly on a tight budget so there looking for the cheapest way to advertise their business in the early years.

Get A Website

The cheapest form of advertising is do it yourself. Get yourself a hosting account you can get these for as low as $10 a month you have to look around and see what’s on offer I recommend starting at host4profit.com there pretty good. You might have to learn a bit of Search Engine Optimization to get your site registered with the search engine and to give yourself a chance to get in front of a large audience. This could take three months to do but worth the effort in the long run.

Blogging

Another way to advertise is to start a blog and ping it every time you put content on it. You might have to practice writing articles to put on your blog, but it would be worth it in the long run.

This is a free way of advertising you can get a free blog at blogger.com. Once you have your blog up and running you want to keep it up by putting content on it on a regular basis at leas three times a week. To give you an idea of what a blog should look like go here.

From your blog you want to advertise your main selling website, use your blogs to get traffic to your main website and also while waiting for your own main website move up in the search engines. This is the best strategy to use as far as free advertising goes.

Forums

Free advertisings forums are a good way to get traffic to your main website. I suggest using forums for your main website because you get valuable back link from your signature file within each forum you join, this is a good way of getting your site seen by the search engine robots. Offer your knowledge in the forums just don’t use them for your advertising efforts mingle in with the forum members.

You will get a good reputation for commenting on other threads, I post about five times a day to some forums that I am a member off.

The best one to start with is the Warrier Forum; here you will rub shoulders with Internet Marketing experts who are getting paid big money. Learn from them and you will prosper.
